Teach:RE Subject Knowledge Enhancement
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at those who are about to embark on initial teacher training to become secondary school RE teachers. This course focuses specifically on developing subject knowledge. It is designed for those who are not in receipt of the 200-hour funding and/or wish to ‘top up’ their subject knowledge prior to applying for ITT. The modules take the form of knowledge organisers, short essays and a PowerPoint presentation. You are supported throughout the course by the course leader and by a personal tutor.
There are two different pathways through the course to meet the needs of different trainees:
- Standard: You complete one module per term (i.e. one year to complete)
- Fast Track: You complete one module per month (i.e 3 months to complete)
A certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course.
