A day for Year 10s and 11s to encourage studying Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion at university.

Girton College, University of Cambridge is running a Taster Day in collaboration with Theology, Religion and the Philosophy of Religion academics. The day is open to Year 10 and 11 student who have an interest in the study of world religions with philosophy, ethics, history, literature, languages, sociology and classics. The day will introduce the study of TRPR at university level. The programme will include sessions by University academics designed to inspire and enthuse Year 10 and 11 students on topics such as ‘Has Science done away with God’ and ‘Will robots ever take over the world?’. The day will also help students in thinking about their A Level choices and making competitive applications to Russell Group Universities.

The day will:
• Encourage students to explore subjects they may not have previously encountered
• Demonstrate the value of studying Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion at university
• Inform them about their A Level choices and how this will affect their university applications
