Welcome

If you want to know about teaching Religious Education this site is for you. Teaching RE is an exciting, challenging and varied career choice; being able to enthuse, educate and inspire young people is a privilege. Starting in September 2006 there are new incentives for entrants to RE training a bursary of £9,000. New on this site are video interviews of RE teachers talking about their work and the appeal of teaching. PGCE students and experienced RE professionals tell their 'story' too. Go to 'The Good Schools Directory' if you're thinking about RE teaching and want to arrange a visit to and experience life in the classroom. Don't forget though to research your CRB needs as many schools are now asking for this before you're allowed into school. Our Contacts page also means you can get in touch with us and gain valuable advice that is personal to you.
